Russia began its full-scale invasion of Ukraine on 24 February 2022. Two days later I was filming at the Polish–Ukrainian border. Over the next four weeks I followed the people who crossed it: through the border, to the station in Przemyśl, onto trains and into Warsaw.

How it’s shot
I’m an independent filmmaker, cinematographer and editor with a background in broadcast. The library gets the same cameras, lenses and filters as client work, because the buyer is usually an editor on a deadline.
So every clip is long enough to cut: most run 20 to 60 seconds. Log footage is graded to Rec.709 with my own LUT, so it drops into a timeline without a fight.
